We are Cretan Ethics, a Greek-Dutch family business and producer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Our shared passion for olive oil brought us together and connects us. We make an Extra Virgin Olive Oil with distinctive taste and character. An Extra Virgin Olive Oil as they should all be: Pure and with Character, based on Ideals and Tradition.

The Koufozisis family has a long family tradition in making Olive Oil. Our family has been cultivating olive groves since the time of our ancestors. Cultivating olive groves and producing Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a way of life for us and it has always been a family tradition.

Our Team

  • Eugenia

    The member of the team with all the technical knowledge of olive oil. A true lover of good olive oil and a certified taste tester. Her favorite Cretan dish: Dakos, which is Paksimadi (a type of Cretan hard bread) drizzled with Ethics olive oil, tomatoes, feta and oregano!

  • Pavlos

    The member of the team with all the organizational skills needed to bring our Ethics olive oil to your plate! A true lover of olive oil and fishing! His favorite Cretan dish: fresh trout just fished, grilled and drizzled with Ethics olive oil and lemon and some raki!

  • Dimitris

    A man of nature, you can always find him in a field of olive trees! He has deep knowledge of all the cultivation techniques and a great appetite for Cretan food! His favorite Cretan dish: boiled wild weeds from the mountain with Ethics olive oil and lemon!

  • Yannis

    The member of the team which conveys our ideals and ethics to you! A lover of cultures and communication. Always there for some good olive oil and raki! His favorite Cretan dish: Spanakorizo, a dish of spinach and rice with Ethics olive oil!

Our groves and production facility are situated in Crete, at the traditional village of Archanes. Crete is the largest Greek island in the Mediterranean, located in the southern part of Greece and renowned for its exceptional year-round agricultural production. During the time of the Minoan civilization (3000 BC) Archanes was the location of a Minoan Summer Palace and also one of the world's oldest olive oil production facilities. It has some of the oldest olive groves in the world.

Our Contribution

The opportunities we get with Cretan Ethics make us very grateful. We feel we have a responsibility to make a social contribution. That's why we like to share in our success. We do this by contributing €0.25 for each bottle we sell to charity, aid and social initiatives. Ideally we look for initiatives that are closely related to our business. This means you make an immediate impact with every bottle you buy!
